July 2016 - Dolahka District - Népal
The British NGO “A Must For Dolakha” (AMFD) aims to assist in the development of one of the poorest region of Nepal. This small NGO (Non Governmental Organisation) has been operating in Eastern Nepal since 2013 and has implemented water sanitation as well as education programs.
This project emerged from the interaction between John, an English guy not familiar to the humanitarian world, and local people who wanted to get involved in this project. It makes the AMDF NGO way to operate really unique. This region was one of the most devastated by the 2015 earthquake, and since then, the reconstruction of schools and villages has become the priority of AMFD. In July, I had the opportunity to discover this organization and I was charged to take some pictures for their visual communication.
It was a great experience to meet with kids and teachers from this remote part of Nepal, and to see how this small NGO was effectively supporting this forgotten village.
